Michael decided to co-found TOMI Hospitality after recognising the value of working together with other likeminded experts in creating a dynamic and creative approach to hospitality project development.
Michael has always been passionate about the hospitality industry: at 28 he opened his very first restaurant in Maastricht, which soared to quick success. By 33, he had set up a chain of 7 restaurants across the Netherlands. Filled with rising ambition and a desire to grow, Michael went on to develop commercial real estate and purchased a further four restaurants at the same time – decisions which all led to major success. In 2020, Michael expanded into the hotel industry – purchasing a dynamic hotel in the centre of Amsterdam that, despite pandemic setbacks and challenges, has continued to thrive under his leadership.
Continually driven by ambition and a thirst for creativity, Michael now directs his focus toward developing unique, forward-thinking hospitality concepts. Through TOMI Hospitality, he is looking forward to exploring new frontiers in project development and making a lasting impact on the ever-evolving landscape of the hospitality industry.
